“I think my favorite memory of Mardi Gras this year was going to parades with my group of friends, some of whom were getting the full Mardi Gras experience for the first time. We really tried to go to as many parades as possible. I also caught my most favorite throw of all time this year, which was a felt crab hat.”

“My favorite memory from this Mardi Gras was the ability and opportunity to get closer to a group of good and wonderful people through the New Orleans culture. Being from New Orleans, it was a beautiful sight to see friends out of state witness and experience my city’s culture and have a blast.”

It was the at the parade on Lundi Gras this year and we were throwing a ball back and forth with kids across from us and we gave beads to the people marching and got a lot of people to dance with us! it was definitely the best memory that I had from my first Nola Mardi Gras.”

“My favorite memory was watching the Mardi Gras Indians. I didn't do any of the parades for safety purposes, but I did manage to make it to the Mardi Gras Indians. The culture and beadwork fused with New Orleans Tradition take my breath away whenever I'm privileged enough to participate or be an admirer. It was great to see all of the Mardi Gras Indians back out! I only wish next year it's included on parade apps. So more New Orleanians are aware of their historic rich cultural traditions and influences that are equally a part of Mardi Gras!”
-Sacha Grandoit, professor
“Just going back to parades and seeing my friends and having fun. Just getting out last memories before we all graduate this year.”
-Gaby Ochoa, Music Industry Senior

-Sara Poche, Music Industry Junior
“This was my first Mardi Gras and I caught a shoe at the Muses parade.”
