On Thursday, April 23rd Loyola Students from Christopher Deris' Visual Traditions class and Karoline Schleh's Drawing 1 class took an informative field trip to The Historic New Orleans Collection. Robert Ticknor, Reference Assistant for the HNOC, gave an insightful & personal view of costume, invitation, and float illustrations/ designs from the early1800's. Students were also introduced to one of New Orleans great museum resources. Future visits are being planned with the HNOC in the upcoming semesters to explore more of the archive offerings.
