Our Digital Filmmaking program is planted in the heart of Hollywood South with major films being shot day and night both on and around our beautiful campus. From True Detective and Treme to 12 Years a Slave and Beasts of the Southern Wild, many critically acclaimed films and TV shows were shot right here in Louisiana.

Whether you’re a writer, director, editor or producer, our program will teach you all the skills you need to succeed. You’ll develop relationships, manage projects, create original works, and learn to market yourself as a professional.

Loyola University’s Digital Filmmaking Program aspires to cultivate artists of character and conscience, possessed of a holistic understanding of the medium and a dedication to the craft of filmmaking and, further, to inspire, in these artists, the intentional creation of stories that can build a more thoughtful, compassionate, and inclusive world.
