New Orleans native, Adam Bock, was raised and educated in the musically rich culture of New Orleans. His early musical experiences involve playing guitar and drums in local rock n roll bands, touring around the country and honing his craft as a performer.
In college, Adam studied Music Composition, Theory, Education and Performance, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance. A consummate student, Adam has sought out instruction from all the great musicians in town, including: John Rankin, Steve Masakowski, Hank Mackie, Bill Solley, Phil Degruy, and Jimmy Foster.
Being a sideman and session player, has allowed Adam opportunities to immerse him in a wide variety of styles. He is a member of many educational organizations such as Phi Kappa Phi, Jazz Education Network, as well as being certified in the Suzuki Method. Adam’s students have been awarded scholarships, composed songs and recorded albums, and have performed concerts around the world. He offers an integral approach to music education; encouraging and initiating studies in all styles.
