Kevin Winter joined the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as 4th horn in the fall of 2016 and currently serves on faculty at Loyola and Tulane Universities. He completed his bachelor's degree at Baylor University, studying with Jeff Powers. He also holds a master's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Rick Solis. His other influences include Greg Hustis, David Cooper, Haley Hoops. During previous summers he has attended the National Repertory Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute, and Opera in the Ozarks music festivals. In his free time Kevin is an ardent fan of the Texas Rangers and tacos. He also enjoys brewing his own beer and sharing it with friends and family.
