Dr. James MacKay is an associate professor of music theory and composition at Loyola University New Orleans. He has published articles on William Byrd's vocal music and on formal and performance practice issues in the instrumental music of Joseph Haydn and Ludwig Van Beethoven in various journals, including Intersections (Canadian University Music Review), Theory and Practice, Haydn-Studien and Indiana Theory Review.
