The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will present Baroque Christmas on Thurs 12/15 and Fri 12/16. The concert will feature Saint-Saëns "Christmas Oratorio" and selections from Handel's oratorio "Messiah." The choir is the NOVA Chorale, who hold artist-in-residence status at Loyola, prepared by Dr. Meg Frazier, director of the Loyola School of Music. NOVA has quite a few Loyola alums and some current students in its membership. The Loyola Alumni who are featured Soloists are: Alyssa Rowe, soprano; Claire Shackleton, mezzo-soprano, Loyola alumna and adjunct voice instructor; Lisa LaFleur, mezzo-soprano; Loyola alumna Kameron Lopreore, tenor; and Loyola alumnus Ivan Griffin, bass-baritone, adjunct voice instructor.
