Adjunct Professor
Sherri Marina is an actress, director, educator, and one of the most sought after acting coaches in the Greater New Orleans area, with over 20 years experience. She has coached hundreds of actors in preparation for auditions in every medium. She currently resides in New Orleans, La. and is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. Sherri holds an M.F.A. from The University of Iowa and a B.F.A. from Kent State University. Sherri was the Chair of the Department of Theatre at Dillard University from 2001 – 2010. Her directing credits include The Colored Museum, Crowns, My Name Means Free, and Jar the Floor. She actively teaches workshops in movement, voice and acting at universities and schools around the USA. As a performer, her resume includes many regional theatre, commercial and film credits. She is best known form her film roles: Girls Trip (2017), Deal (2008), and Freshman Orientation (2004). She has served as a faculty member with the Urban Bush Woman Summer Leadership Institute and is a member of UBW Team NOLA.
